Friends of ADoRE

Pray for our Mission

We are dedicated to the encouragement of a personal relationship with God, via his Son, Jesus Christ, and the charisms (gifts of grace) of his Holy Spirit. We provide spiritual refreshment to God’s people through a monthly mini-retreat including: Prayer, Eucharist, Praise, Prophecy, Inspired Teaching and Healing Ministry.

Above all, we seek to follow Pope Francis' encouragement "to share baptism in the Holy Spirit with everyone in the Church." So please pray that we will be able to share this blessing extensively.

Pray for the Team

ADoRE is run by a small "Core" Group of volunteers, meeting every month to plan and pray for the activities and the future of the Day of Renewal. Please pray that they will be guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring renewal and spiritual refreshment to all who participate. Find out more about the Team by following the link.

Pray for our Organisation

We are a monthly meeting of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal formed in 1975 and blessed with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit ever since. We are now one of the longest continually running Charismatic Days of Renewal in Britain. Please pray that our meetings - either online or in person - will attract and bless many more participants.

Intercessory Prayer Team

Prayer underpins all that we do at ADoRE and we have discerned that, to make our mission even more fruitful, we should have a group of people praying for ADoRE on a regular basis. This group would pray for all aspects of our work, as well as for those who use the ADoRE telephone prayer line. We are looking for people who would commit themselves to praying on a daily basis for ADoRE, focussing on one aspect each month.

Would you be interested?
This group will be called the Friends of ADoRE and would be open to anyone who has the interests of ADoRE at heart. Perhaps you used to come to the Day but do so no longer, yet like to keep in touch. Perhaps you are a regular attender who already prays for the Day but would be prepared to be more involved. Perhaps you are an occasional visitor who would love to add us to your list of intentions. Perhaps you are visiting this site for the first time and feel inspired to join us in prayer.

Use your charism

If you have been involved in the Called and Gifted programme in your Diocese, it might be that you have considered Intercession as your charism. Come and exercise it!  We are also looking for those with the gift of prophecy or words of knowledge or discernment that might help show us the way forward.

How will it work?

If you are interested and able to make the commitment that we are looking for, please email HERE and let us know you want to be on the mailing list. We will send you a monthly newsletter, detailing the various aspects of ADoRE that need regular prayer, for you to include in your daily prayer. Each month we will focus on one topic and 'storm the gates of heaven' by all praying for the same thing. ‘For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer.’ (I Pet 3:12)

Prayer meetings

We could also arrange a monthly Zoom meeting for us to come together and pray as one with the Lord. ‘Where two or three are gathered in My name, there I am with them.’ (Matt 18:20) This would be for no more than forty minutes due to Zoom restrictions. If people like the idea, it could happen more frequently. We suggest 7.30pm on the second Tuesday of the month to start with. If you are interested in this, please let us know by email HERE

Please pray anyway

Even if you can't commit to joining the Friends intercession team, please could we ask you to pray regularly for the intentions mentioned on this page. Thank you.
